Create mobile application ads to generate installations or engagement with your app. To promote a mobile app, it first needs to be registered on Facebook and associated with your Facebook ad account.
Follow the steps in Facebook’s developer documentation to register and configure your app details on Facebook.
When the setup above is compete, the option to create mobile applications campaigns will appear in your AdEspresso account. If the Facebook setup was recently completed, you may need to sync your ad account in AdEspresso: Click the Settings gear icon on the main navigation bar, click the Facebook Ad Accounts tab, and then click Sync on the ad account.
To create a mobile app campaign
- Click New campaign on the main navigation bar and proceed to create a campaign as usual.
- Under What do you want to promote? click the Application tab, select a mobile campaign type, and then click Proceed.
- On the Ads Design step (2), select your app from the drop-down menu, or insert an app store URL that directs to your app.
If your app isn’t appearing, or the URL results in a validation error, this means that the app hasn’t yet been registered on Facebook, or that the app details weren’t correctly added during the Facebook setup.
- Proceed as usual to set your campaign creatives, audience and budget.
Tip: On the Audience step (3), you can target users on specific mobile devices, if you want your campaign to run on mobile only.
