Facebook has made some minor updates to the bidding strategies for ad campaigns. As a result, the updated bid strategies are now reflected in AdEspresso too.
Now you will see two bidding strategy options in the campaign creation workflow:
- Lowest cost (previously Automatic Bid) - this option gets you the lowest possible cost for your selected optimization event and will use the whole budget.
- Lowest cost with bid cap (previously Custom Bid) - this option gets you the lowest possible cost for your selected optimization event up to the limit you set as your bid cap.
Essentially these two options have been renamed, but will work the same way as they did before! Any currently running campaigns that were built using Automatic Bid will now display Lowest cost in the campaign dashboard.
