Save defined target audiences to the Asset Manager to save time creating campaigns in the future. If you often target the same audience, like people with a set of Interests, or a group of zip codes for example, you can load that saved audience easily, rather than defining it for each new campaign.
Saved audiences created on Facebook are automatically imported to AdEspresso's Asset Manager and can be used when creating campaigns in AdEspresso.
An audience can be saved in three places:
And then loaded during campaign creation to save time.
Create and copy saved audiences in the Asset Manager
Create a saved audience in the Asset Manager without having to go through the whole campaign creation process. The Asset Manager is where all audiences are stored and managed, including audiences imported from Facebook. See more about custom audiences.
Audiences are associated with specific ad accounts, so there is a folder on the left for each of your connected ad accounts, and each one has a Saved Audiences subfolder by default. You can copy an audience across different ad accounts in the Asset Manager, so that it’s available to use with other ad accounts when creating new campaigns.
Note that custom audiences cannot be copied between ad accounts.
To create a saved audience
- Click Tools on the main navigation bar, and then select Asset Manager.
- Select the correct ad account folder and subfolder from the list on the left.
- Click New Asset in the top-right corner, and then select Saved Audience.
- Enter a name for the audience, and then complete all the targeting fields for your audience.
- Click Proceed.
The audience will appear in your asset list, and will display the date it was created as well as an estimated reach.
To copy an audience
- Click Tools on the main navigation bar, and then select Asset Manager.
- Locate the audience you want to copy in the folders on the left.
- Click Actions to the right of the audience, and then click Copy.
- Enter an audience name, select the ad account and destination folder for the new audience, and then click Save.
Save an audience during campaign creation
After completing the Audience step (3) of the campaign creation workflow, you can choose to save the audience you have just defined to use again in future campaigns.
- Scroll to the bottom of the Audience page.
- Check the Save specified audience for future uses box.
- Optional: Select Overwrite existing audience to save the campaign’s audience over an existing one that’s saved in your Asset Manager.
- Enter a name for the audience, and then select the destination folder it will be saved to in the Asset Manager.
- Click Proceed.
Saved audiences are associated with a specific ad account. When you save an audience during campaign creation, it is being saved to the ad account selected for that campaign.
Save an audience from an existing campaign
If you forget to save an audience during campaign creation, and observe later that the audience is performing well, you can save the audience for future use from the published campaign’s dashboard.
- Navigate to the Dashboard tab for a specific campaign.
- Scroll down to the Current Target box below the graph, and click Save Audience in the bottom-left corner of the box. This icon will indicate if any split tests are being run.
- Optional: Click Overwrite existing audience to save the audience over an existing one that’s saved in your Asset Manager.
- Enter a name for the audience, and then select the destination folder it will be saved to in the Asset Manager.
- Click Save.
Load a saved audience
Save time during campaign creation by loading a pre-configured, saved audience. Load saved audiences that were created in AdEspresso (see above), or in Facebook.
Saved audiences can also be split tested.
- On the Audience step (3), click Load Audience.
- Search or browse your folders for the saved audience and select it from the list.
- Click Confirm.
The targeting parameters from the saved audience will be instantly loaded into your campaign. You can then make further edits to the campaign’s targeting, save the changes as a new audience, or overwrite an existing saved audience with the new changes. See above
Note: At this time, it's not possible to see the targeting details of a saved audience imported from Facebook. If you load an imported audience, the audience name will appear as successfully loaded, you'll see the audience size, and you can proceed to the next step of the campaign creation workflow.
